You're Not The One

Calls come in, text messages sent,
I’m still trying to figure it out,
Where all the excitement went,
And what’s my status now,

My brain is fogged up, me, I’m confused,
But I keep obliging and I keep on obliging,
It’s all so fucked up, I suspect I’m being used,
But you keep on trying and I keep on lying,

The sparks are dying, if they aren’t already dead,
But you keep on trying, playing, messing with my head,
Maybe I’m being paranoid,
Maybe I’m being dumb,
Or maybe I’m being right,
And you’re just not the one,

All my friends told me I should give you a chance,
But all my friends say I’ve been down lately,
I go through days wondering why I just can’t,
Seem to love you back the way that you seem to love me,

Nothing lasts for long, but this has been too short,
We only just set sail, but I can already imagine storms,
Our ship is sinking, I start thinking it’s time we abort,
I keep resisting, but you keep insisting, that I must be wrong,

The sparks are dying, if they aren’t already dead,
But you keep on trying, playing, messing with my head,
Maybe I’m being paranoid,
Maybe I’m being dumb,
Or maybe I’m being right,
And you’re just not the one,

You pull my hand, I pull away,
You roll the dice, I don’t want to play,
You want a kiss, I just oblige,
You don’t seem to see,
There’s nothing in my eyes,

Convince me to stay, I just want to leave,
You’re not the one,
You’re not the one,
You’re not the one for me
Convince me to love you back, you don’t even know what love means,
You’re not the one,
You’re not the one,
You’re not the one for me
